Grand Marshal

Eastpointe resident Leo Lalonde is the 2024 Eastpointe Memorial Day Parade Grand Marshal. Leo, US Army, was a Sergeant and editor of the command-wide (4 forts) newspaper. Leo won the 1971 Thomas Jefferson Award for best newspaper across the Department of Defense. Previously Leo was also a State Representative, served on the Planning Commission and served on the Housing Commission.
